The Masjid of Akdogan, a structure from the Ottoman Era, is registered in the Land Registration Book of the Prime Ministry Archives with number 453 151B. According to the deed of trust of a pious foundation from the 15th century, it was ordered by Selcuk Bey, the son of Umur Bey, and ten students were assigned to read the Quran at his tomb.

The most original aspect of this humble building, which managed to survive to this day with various repairs, is that 2/3 of its ceiling was built using a technique called ‘tuteklikli covering’. The building was planned as a rectangle structure. It has a wooden roof carried by wooden posts. Middy mortar, rubble work and bonding timber were used for walls. Random materials were used in some places. Door and window frames are wooden. It has a hipped roof with tile lining. It has no minaret.
